‘Blue Reindeer’ (2010) is a project made in the mountain area of Jotunheimen, central Norway. Thanks to the generosity of a Sámi shepherd family I was able to stay for a couple of weeks and experience the migration of their reindeer herd.

A reindeer made out of chicken wire and antlers wrapped in blue plastic is standing amid a herd of 2,500 reindeer. A Sámi shepherd was able to unite the animals with the new member of the herd.

A reindeer made out of blue garbage bags is standing in between a herd of 2500 reindeer. The herd is running around in circles.
